Parties
Kid Parties
Kid Parties are designed for 4-12 participants and offer an exciting and unique way to celebrate a special milestone in a child’s life. Crystal will work you to create a memorable and fun event that is customized to the age and skill level of group. Parties can be built around a particular theme and/or color scheme, specific decorating techniques, or based on a television show like “Nailed It” or “Cake Wars”. For younger kids, parties are generally about one hour in length. For older children and adults, parties generally last about two hours in length. Crystal provides all of the decorating supplies, including cakes, frosting, sprinkles, turntables, spatulas, scrapers and aprons and also takes care of set-up and clean-up. And at the end of the party, each guest has their very own delicious party favor to take home – a whole cake! Adult Parties
Ready to learn some professional cake decorating techniques while sharing fun and laughter with your friends? Adult Cake Parties are a great way to celebrate a special event like a birthday, bridal shower, or corporate outing. And if you just want to get together with your friends and make cakes, no special occasion is even necessary! Crystal will work with you to customize your cake decorating party and focus on the skills you want to learn. We provide all of the decorating supplies, including cakes, frosting, sprinkles, turntables, spatulas, scrapers and aprons and also takes care of set-up and clean-up. Private Lessons
Cake Decorating Lessons are similar to Parties, but designed for 1-2 participants. Private lessons are fully customizable and perfect for those looking to learn a specific skill at their own pace. Whether you would like to learn to cover a cake in fondant, create beautiful isomalt sails, or explore painted cakes, Crystal will work with you to design a custom lesson to take your cake making to the next level. Private lessons are also great for beginners and younger cake decorators who might require a slower pace than workshops or group parties. Pricing will depend on the length of lesson and materials used, but generally starts at $200 for a two hour lesson.

Workshops
Crystal periodically hosts Cake Decorating Workshops for kids and adults. During the 2 hour workshop, each participant receives a fully prepped, crumb-coated 6”cake to decorate. We discuss the steps Crystal has taken to prepare the cake, and then walk through the decorating process with a totally hands-on experience. Workshop themes change based on age and ability, but typical skills covered include learning to apply buttercream frosting to make a “watercolor” effect on the cake, using a cake spatula and bench scraper to make a smooth finish, and applying a melted chocolate “drip effect”. We have a variety of frosting colors, sprinkles and candy to use, sometimes working with fondant and specialty materials. Kid workshops are best suited for children 8 and older, but sometimes younger children can participate based on past cake decorating experience. Adult workshops are geared toward ages 16 and up.
