Order Process

To request an order, please fill out the inquiry form on the Contact page. Order requests are usually confirmed within 48 hours based on availability. Crystal recommends placing orders at least 4-6 weeks in advance for the greatest availability; however, last-minute orders are sometimes possible.

Design Process

Once an order is confirmed, Crystal will work with you to finalize the design, typically via email. While the design process varies for each cake, customers often provide a written description and/or photos of inspirational imagery and other cakes they like. Crystal may reference other cakes as part of the inspiration process but she prefers not to “copy” another cake artists’ work and will always try to adapt a cake to make it truly custom. Her most unique cakes are often inspired by concepts and non-cake images such as invitation artwork, party decorations and graphic prints.

Pricing

Custom cakes are priced based on size and design. Cakes generally begin at $150, regular cupcakes at $40 per dozen, and cake pops $3.25 each, minimum 20 per order. First birthday Smash Cakes begin at $50 when combined with a larger order.

Location

Large Orders

If you would like to place a large order, please fill out the form on the Contact page. Large orders should be placed as far in advance as possible for greatest availability. When Confections by Crystal takes on a large order, such as a wedding, no other orders will be accepted for that date.

Delivery

Local delivery is available for a fee based on distance of travel. Please mention if you are interested in delivery when inquiring about an order.

Shipping

At this time Cake Pops are the only items available for shipping. Due to Cottage Industry regulations, shipping is only available within Connecticut and will be based on local weather conditions. Please inquire for pricing and availability.

Allergies

Confections by Crystal operates in a kitchen where peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, milk and soy are present. Crystal takes every precaution to prevent cross-contamination but it cannot be guaranteed. If there is an allergy in your party, please notify Crystal when placing your order.
